If you love golf, you will enjoy the natural setting, wetland views, water features, and glimpses of Florida wildlife at Rockledge Country Club. Each hole has a distinct personality. Playing at 6500 yards from the back tees, you will feel that it plays longer than the yardage indicates. For added convenience a combination of 5 sets of tees makes this course versatile to fit anyone's skill level.
Our unique to Florida, Diamond Zoysia will provide you with a consistent putting surface throughout the year. Our practice facility includes, in addition to our Driving Range, a large putting and chipping area to fine tune your short game. Rockledge Country Club has many holes that could be called "signature holes", but when asked, the members usually mention holes #6, #13, #16 and #17. This course is the perfect place to hold your own golf tournament, or perhaps just enjoy a round with your family or fellow members.
Hole #1 at Rockledge Country Club is a 506-yard dogleg left par 5. A tee shot between the fairway bunkers will allow longer hitters to go for the green in two. After a generous lay-up area, the third shot should favor the back part of the green to avoid the greenside bunkers.
Hole #2 at Rockledge Country Club is one of the easiest of the 5 par 3's found on the course. When teeing off, the best approach to this hole is to stay away from the left side bunker. Setting up for an easy approach or putt.
Hole #3 at Rockledge Country Club is a long straight par 4 with a wide fairway, water left and out of bounds right. This hole has one of the largest greens on the course but the second shot is key to a low score. You must be careful and not go too long, long shots to the left will run off the green very quickly.
Hole #4 at Rockledge Country Club is a moderate length par 4 at 385 yards. This dogleg right requires a straight tee shot to reach the corner, setting up a clear shot to hit the green in two.
Hole #5 at Rockledge Country Club is a long par 5. There are many options to play this hole, a long drive may allow you to go for the green in two. Or two shorter shots laying up in front of the water, leaving a medium length third shot. The undulating green with bunkers on both sides will create a challenging shot no matter what approach taken on this hole.
Hole #6 at Rockledge Country Club is considered by many, as the most difficult hole on the course. A strategically placed, long drive off the tee is preferred. Water will come into play if it goes too long and you will find trouble both left and right. A good tee shot still leaves a long uphill second shot to a tough green.
Hole #7 at Rockledge Country Club is a slight dogleg right 421-yard par 4. A drive down the left side of the fairway opens the approach to one of the smallest greens on the course. Avoid the right side of the fairway. Shots from the right rough or trees will be extremely difficult to save par.
Hole #8 at Rockledge Country Club is the shortest of the par 3's. Off the tee, you will need to avoid the front bunkers. A spine running through the middle of the green will require pinpoint accuracy depending on the pin placement, to set up the best possible putt.
Hole #9 at Rockledge Country Club is a right curving par 4 coming in at 413 yards. This hole requires a long tee shot into an open fairway. Setting up a short iron approach to the smallest green on the course.
Hole #10: A drivable par 4 for the long hitters, this hole is a risk reward to start the back 9. Proper club selection off the tee, to leave a comfortable distance for the second shot, is recommended.
Hole #11: Grip it and rip it on this straight par 4! Avoid the big oaks on the left side and have a short approach shot to a larger green.
Hole #12: A long par 3 at 197 yards. A raised, narrow green, requires accuracy because misses left or right put real pressure on your short game!
Hole #13: The best way to play this Par 5 is to favor the left side of the fairway to create an opportunity to go for it or to lay up. Controlling distance on your approach shot is critical to stay out of the large bunkers, both in front of, and behind the green.
Hole #14: A tough green to hit, a miss short left is greeted by water, and a miss right leaves an awkward pitch over a bunker. Find the green and an easier putt awaits.
Hole #15: The shortest of the Par 5's at 470 yards is still not an easy hole. Out of bounds down the entire right side, and water in front of and left of the green, eagles and birdies are possible, but your course management skills will be challenged.
Hole #16: A tee shot on the left side of the fairway on this par 4 of 377 yards, should have a shorter shot to one of the most challenging greens. Leaving a miss on the front of the green is better than finding the "graveyard" behind the green.
Hole #17: A picturesque par 3, it can be a "round wrecker". Water runs down the right side and in front. There are no flat putts on this back to front sloping putting surface.
Hole #18: A long straight 403-yard par 4. A longer tee shot missing the hidden fairway bunkers left and right, leaves a shorter approach to a deep and narrow green.
